This coffee comes from Chebich Farmers' Cooperative Society located in the western region of Kenya. The cooperative consists of 230 female and 400 male producers. Grown at heights reaching over 2000 masl, this coffee was grown on loam soil, and has been hand picked and sun dried for up to 4 hours per day. In addition to the optimial coffee growing conditions of the area, the cooperative has planted trees along the coffee bushes to enhance agroforestry .

The society is in the 3rd year of converting their coffee from conventional to organically grown coffee. The cooperative management also is encouraging the youth and women to become members of the society and they are encouraging the men to give some land to their sons to plant coffee. This will address succession issues and sustainability of coffee production in the cooperative
