Kenyan coffee is my desert island coffee - and if Kangocho was the Kenyan I had, I would be hiding form rescuers! A absolutely beaut of a coffee, complex & fruity, layered & savory - We love this example of a great Nyeri coffee.

Located on the foothills of Mt Kenya, the Kangocho factory is entirely owned by coffee growing members. Rich volcanic loam, cooler temperatures and predictable rainfall make for perfect coffee growing conditions. Once coffee is delivered from the 781 farmers of the co-op, it is de-pulped using water diverted and returned from the Ragati river, fermented overnight and dried on raised beds. The factory (co-op) is closely involved in supporting and enriching the lives of the member farmers, providing agronomical advice as well as welfare initiatives, such as loans for school fees, medical advice and support, accessible credit for farm equipment and training on sustainable farming practices.
